What is the maximum size of a shipment you can ship?

Value Express is able to handle a wide variety of shipment sizes, from 1 kg to 32 Tons on all service types.

In which locations do you operate?

We have a national footprint with 21 Depots.

Can I send internationally?

Yes, Value Express offers courier services Cross-Border as well as Internationally.

Do I need to take insurance cover on my shipment?

Value Express offers R1000 insurance cover for a nominal fee per waybill. Should you wish to insure your freight at a higher value, please contact our Customer Service Department (0861 900 400) to be quoted.

What cannot be sent?

Certain items are excluded such as Explosives, Flammable Solids (matches, certain batteries), Radioactive Materials, Flammable Gas (Gas Cylinders, Lighter Fuel, Aerosols), Oxidising Substances, Corrosives, Flammable Liquids, Poisons. For security reasons we do not move precious metals or stones, jewelry, currency, arms and ammunition, cigarettes or cellular phones. Livestock or plants are also excluded.

How do I package my shipment?

You are responsible to package your shipment in such a way that it is protected against damage that may occur with normal handling procedures.

Can I track the movement of my shipment?

Yes, your waybill number (indicated below the barcode) on your waybill is your reference for tracking purposes. Visit the Value Express website at http://valueexpress.co.za and enter your waybill number in the tracking field provided on the Customer Portal page. If you shipment is not immediately tracking, please contact our Customer Service Department (0861 900 400) to assist with a verbal status update on your shipment.

What payment terms are accepted?

Value Express operates on an account basis, terms of which will be established when opening an account.
